Our 2025...
What a year 2025 was! The few lines below don't even cover 10% of what we lived, but we want to share a little of what this past year was like.
January, February and March
We started the year with the Vacation Missionary School! For 10 days we inspired teenagers and young people who love God and want to share the Gospel. In 2025, we welcomed 24 teenagers from different churches, sowing love and passion for Christ and for those who do not yet know Him.
In February, Mica took part in a Storytelling seminar, teaching the Word by Heart method for memorizing and telling Bible stories. It was a very special morning, with brothers and sisters from many churches and denominations.
We remain deeply involved in evangelism across the city, using a Human Development approach to share the gospel through service.

April, May and June
The second quarter was intense and profound. We hosted a DTS (Discipleship Training School) outreach team from Switzerland that stayed with us for a month! We led many initiatives with them: children’s work, evangelism in the park, youth and teen groups, prayer vigils, and more.
One of the highlights was handing out Bibles in the neighborhood near the base. It was a whole day of walking, praying and wonderful conversations!
Raul accompanied the international team for almost 20 days in Rio de Janeiro, where they served directly in the Rocinha favela, in partnership with the church on the hill.

In the middle of all of April’s activity, we went through some very tense and intense days with Ruben. He was hospitalized for a few days with low oxygen saturation and a serious case of bronchiolitis. We experienced God’s care and, despite all the pain and suffering, we declared — again, and many times over — that our lives and our children belong to the Lord!

July, August and September
From July to September we were fully immersed in the DTS here in Uberlândia, at YWAM Cerrado. We led a group of young people on this journey of faith and character — and we saw God move among us! During the DTS we also joined the Romaria Pilgrimage Outreach — an initiative where we set up a tent on the side of the highway between Uberlândia and the town of Romaria to care for pilgrims arriving with tired and injured feet. Once again it was an opportunity to share (not with words) the love of our Father! Beyond this outreach, we lived deep moments of knowing God and making Him known together with our brothers and sisters.
We took part in the DTS Workshop hosted by the YWAM Brazil Training Center — and had the joy of hearing more about our role of influence in society and how we can be more relevant in expanding the Kingdom of God among the nations!
It was also the event where Mica officially took on the role of International Registrar of the University of the Nations (UofN) for Portuguese-speaking countries!

October, November and December
The last three months of the year were crucial for the rest of our journey. The DTS team went to Spain for their outreach phase, and Raul had the privilege of visiting them there. We worked out some details about our 2026 and understood that it really is time for a change.
We spent a lot of time with our friends and family, sharing what God has been placing in our hearts — and, in a way, we began saying our goodbyes.
We also celebrated 50 years of YWAM in Brazil at an event called YWAM in Family! We spent a few days with the big YWAM family and were greatly blessed by testimonies, stories and direction for the coming years of the Mission in Brazil. If you have some time, we highly recommend watching the sessions using the button below:
YWAM in Family 2025
So many good things happened, and looking back we see the hand of the Lord covering us, carrying us and pointing us to the Way.
Bring on 2026!
