2026 and counting...
And now, 2026!
We started the year with everything so well planned, but God chose to change it all, for His glory! We experienced the Father's hand and care for us — providing, confronting, comforting and moving us toward His will, which is good, pleasing and perfect!
January
“in Jerusalem”, in Brazil, in the United States and “to the ends of the earth”!
Once again, we started the year with the Vacation Missionary School (VMS), welcoming students for ten intense days of classes and evangelism around the city of Uberlândia. Raul was very involved in this initiative, and it was a season full of life, learning and opportunities to share the Gospel!
Meanwhile, Mica traveled to the United States to work on the development of the University of the Nations (UofN) Registration System. It was two intense weeks of testing, adjustments and improvements, aiming to make the system ever more efficient and to better serve YWAM’s Training sphere by making it easier to register for the courses and seminars the mission offers.

February, March and April
We spent three months in Curitiba, at the YWAM CCL (Leadership Training Center) base, taking part in the Living Word School (EPV). EPV is an immersion school that seeks to strengthen the foundations of our life with God through meditation on His Word, allowing it to transform the way we live and serve.
During this season we meditated on Paul's letter to the Galatians and went deeper into themes such as the fear of the Lord, holiness, the true Gospel and the intentions of the heart, among other foundational topics for the Christian life.
The children were also greatly blessed through ÉDEN, the base's children's ministry, where they learned more about faith, obedience, intercession and missions.

At the beginning of February we had a surprise: our family is growing! During Mica's trip to the USA, we found out about a pregnancy that wasn't in our plans, but was in God's plans!
What a blessing! Without a doubt, the Lord is good, all the time.

May, June and July
At the beginning of May we visited friends in Santos and Cajamar, and then returned to Uberlândia, where we continue serving at YWAM Cerrado and in our local church.
In July, Mica made another trip to meet the UofN Registration System development team, this time in Switzerland. There she reunited with some partners in the missionary journey and revisited places we knew from when we lived there.
At the end of July, Raul also flew to Europe, and together we spent nine days in Croatia! It was a short but very intentional trip: a time to “spy out the land”, get to know the local context better and build important connections with people of peace.
Visiting this country we love so much once again was key to rekindling the call in us and preparing us to keep moving forward, seeking and discovering God’s paths for our family.
We came back encouraged, with some doors opened and people willing to welcome us. We keep taking steps of faith, confident that God will keep guiding us and opening the way to Croatia!

August, September and October
As soon as we got back from Croatia, we went straight into preparing for the Romaria Pilgrimage Outreach! It is always so special to serve the pilgrims — caring for their feet, offering coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and a good conversation by the roadside. Once again it was a time of hard work, but also of much fruit!
After that, we began organizing and preparing our home — and our hearts — for José’s arrival! Once again we experienced the Lord’s goodness through dear brothers and sisters who gave us diapers, baby clothes and so many other things, far beyond what we could have asked or imagined!
During the pregnancy, at one of the check-ups, José’s heart rate was well below what was expected. This led us to monitor him more closely, with additional tests and extra attention to his development. Many people joined us in prayer, and we believe God worked a miracle in our family!
On September 29, José was born healthy, by natural birth and without any complications! What a joy to once again witness the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord in our story. To God be all the glory!

A year that began with so much uncertainty has grounded us in the certainty that God is Faithful, and that He is — and always will be — the most important Person!
Everything can change, but He remains, and His purposes are wonderful!
2027, we’re ready!
Walk with us
Your prayers and support take us further, on our way to Croatia.
